Victor Hall

Mr. Hall serves as the Deputy Director of the Division of Systems Analysis in the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research.

In 2003, Mr. Hall joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in the Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program. He started his career as a reactor technical reviewer, specialized in Electrical Engineering in the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation (NRR). He then qualified as a vendor inspector, helping to oversee the nuclear industry's global supply chain. During a one-year assignment to the France's Autorité de Sûreté Nucléaire, he contributed international expertise on supply chain and nuclear facility construction. As a senior project manager in NRR's Japan Lessons Learned Directorate, Mr. Hall also contributed to safety enhancements at U.S. commercial nuclear power plants following the 2011 accident at Japan's Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear reactors. Prior to joining NRC's research arm, Mr. Hall served as the Director of NRR's Vogtle Project Office. His team was responsible for licensing and overseeing Vogtle's AP1000 reactors, the first U.S. commercial nuclear power plants to be built in the U.S. in over 30 years.

Mr. Hall earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland and a French baccalaureate specialized in science and mathematics. He is a graduate of the 2021 White House Leadership Development Program and a 2024 graduate of the NRC's SES Candidate Development Program.
