Marissa Bailey

Ms. Bailey joined the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in 1989 as a Nuclear Engineer in the Division of Safeguards and Transportation, Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards (NMSS).  She served in several progressively responsible positions in NMSS including Section Chief, Materials Safety and Inspection Branch, Division of Industrial and Medical Nuclear Safety, and Chief, Engineering Branch, Division of High-Level Waste Repository Safety. 

Since joining the Senior Executive Service in 2008, she has served as Deputy Director and Director, Division of Fuel Cycle Safety, Safeguards and Environmental Review, NMSS; Director, Division of Preparedness and Response, Office of Nuclear Security and Incident Response (NSIR); and Director, Division of Security Operations, NSIR, Director, Division of Construction Oversight, Region II, and most recently as Associate Director for Operations, Office of the Executive Director for Operations.

Ms. Bailey has a bachelor's degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Maryland.
