Lea Perlas is the Fusion Program Director at the Virginia Department of Health (VDH). Over her 29-year career with VDH, she has served in key leadership roles, including Radiological Health Office Director, Division Director, and Radiation Compliance Officer. Her educational background spans Political Science, Radiation Science, and a Master’s in Public Health. Lea brings extensive experience in regulatory oversight and public health, contributing to the safe and collaborative advancement of fusion technologies.
