Katie McCurry

Katie McCurry is currently the acting Division Director for NRR's EMBARK Venture Studio, the NRC's innovation catalyst through data collection, analytics, and visualization. Following her rotation, she will return to her role as the Region II Front Office Technical Assistant. Katie has previously held many positions in Region II's construction organization since joining the NRC in 2011, including Technical Assistant, Mechanical Construction Inspector, Project Inspector for the Mixed Oxide Fuel Fabrication Facility, and acting Resident and Senior Resident Inspector at Vogtle 3&4 and V.C. Summer 2&3. She is also a qualified Nuclear Criticality Safety Fuel Facility Inspector and served as the Project Inspector for the Westinghouse Columbia Fuel Fabrication Facility during her time in Region II's fuel cycle facility division.

Katie continues to support important agency wide efforts by being a Be riskSMART ambassador, Culture Change Agent, member of NRC's NextGen, and the University Champion for Georgia Tech, where she obtained a bachelor's degree in Nuclear and Radiological Engineering.
