Gerond George
Gerond George is currently the Chief of the Inspection and Oversight Branch, in the Office of Nuclear Material Safety and Safeguards. In this role, he leads the implementation of the NRC’s Fuel Facility, Transportation Certificate of Compliance, and Independent Fuel Storage Installation inspection programs. Mr. George has over 20 years’ experience in successfully leading multidisciplinary ROP engineering inspection teams, including leading significant agency enforcement actions, leading changes to inspection programs, and leading change to NRC’s Enforcement Policy.
Mr. George is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University here he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering. He has also received his Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Texas-Arlington.
