Andre Argenton

Andre Argenton is Dow's Chief Sustainability Officer and Vice President of Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S). He is responsible for corporate EH&S governance and sustainability. Previously, Andre was the Vice President of Core Research and Development (R&D) who oversaw a broad portfolio of research programs and world-leading innovation capabilities that enable technology development across multiple key market segments. Prior to that, he was the global R&D Director of Industrial Intermediates & Infrastructure.   His responsibilities included managing the innovation pipeline across multiple chemistry envelopes including Polyurethanes and Industrial Solutions. Argenton earned a PhD in Physical Chemistry from the University of Sao Paolo. He joined Dow Brazil in 1999 and moved to the US in 2007. 

Throughout his career, he worked across the spectrum of chemistries and technologies at Dow supporting a broad range of industries and also covering all facets of innovation from new product development, to process research, to customer facing application development. He served on several academic advisory boards and today some of his external focus includes University of Michigan Department of Chemical Engineering, Liquid Sunlight Alliance, University of Michigan Erb Institute and the NYSE Sustainability Advisory Council.
