Alexandra Terres

Alexandra Terres is a Reactor Systems Engineer in the Division of Advanced Reactors and Non-Power Production and Utilization Facilities within the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. Alexandra began her career at the NRC in the summer of 2023, interning in the division of Rulemaking, Environmental, and Financial Support. In 2024, Alexandra joined the Nuclear Regulator Apprenticeship Network (NRAN) Program, which gave her the opportunity to apprentice in the fields of emergency preparedness, inspection, and materials engineering, most notably with the Palisades Restart Team in the summer of 2025. Through the summer hire program and the NRAN program, Alexandra has gained a diverse set of skills and experiences, as well as a far reaching network of mentors and colleagues, that have helped propelled her career, just 2 years after graduating from the University of Maryland with a degree in Materials Science and Engineering.
