Julio Lara

Mr. Lara serves as the acting Regional Administrator for NRC's Region II Office located in Atlanta, Georgia. Prior to his current assignment, his permanent assignment is the Deputy Regional Administrator in the RIV office located in Arlington, Texas. Before that, Mr. Lara served as the Director for the Division of Operating Reactor Safety in the RIII office located in Naperville, Illinois. Mr. Lara has held several other positions of increasing responsibility in Regions I, II, and III. Mr. Lara received a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston and is a Registered Professional Engineer. He is a graduate of the NRC’s SES Candidate Development Program.
