REMARKS:

IMC 0102 (Oversight and Objectivity of Inspectors and Examiners at Reactor Facilities) has been revised to allow manager accompaniments of inspectors to include an entrance and/or exit meeting instead of only an exit meeting.

IMC 2401 (Near-Surface Low-Level Radioactive Waste Disposal Facility Inspection Program) has been revised to incorporate allowances to decrease the inspection frequency based on "good" licensee performance. This concept is consistent with IMC 2800.

IP 40500 (Effectiveness of Licensee Controls in Identifying, Resolving, and Preventing Problems) has been revised to clarify expectations relative to the review of licensee audits of safety review committee activities.

IP 62702 (Maintenance Program) has been revised to reflect the maintenance rule (10 CFR 50.65), which became effective on July 10, 1996.
