Administrative Letters Related to Fire Protection

During the 1990s, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued administrative letters to inform addressees of specific regulatory or administrative information or to clarify such information. In particular, administrative letters addressed the following types of topics:

  • administrative procedural changes related to implementation of NRC regulations or NRC staff positions
  • issuance of topical report evaluations or documents that were not technical in nature, did not contain new or revised staff positions, or were inappropriate for inclusion in either generic letters or information notices
  • changes in internal NRC procedures or organizations
  • requests for licensees to voluntarily submit information of an administrative nature that would assist the NRC in performing its functions
  • events of interest (such as workshops or regulatory information conferences,
  • other topics of a strictly administrative nature

The following table lists (in chronological order) the administrative letters that the NRC issued regarding topics related to fire protection for licensed facilities and materials. The complete collection of administrative letters is available through the NRC Library.
