NRC NAMES NEW RESIDENT INSPECTOR
AT PEACH BOTTOM ATOMIC POWER STATION

Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, have announced the assignment of Blake Welling as the agency's Resident Inspector at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station in Delta, Pa.

Mr. Welling joined the NRC as a reactor engineer at the Region I Office in June 1995. During his tenure in the Regional Office, Mr. Welling has completed two temporary assignments as a resident inspector at both the Limerick nuclear plant in Limerick, Pa, and at Indian Point 3 in Buchanan, New York.

Prior to joining the agency, Mr. Welling worked as a nuclear safety assessor for the United States Department of Energy. He also served as a submarine officer in the nuclear power program of the U. S. Navy. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the U. S. Naval Academy. He and his family currently live in Royersford, Pa.
