No special training requirements have been identified for any documents issued with this change notice.

REMARKS:

TI 2800/033, Revision 2 (Revised Materials Inspection Program) has revised section 04.01 to include additional paragraphs about focus elements, performance-based approach, sufficient inspection effort, observing an unsafe practice, licensee records needed to support a violation, and keeping licensee representatives and NRC supervisors apprized of significant findings during an inspection.

Section 05.01 has been revised to indicate the inspection interval has been reduced to 3 years for well logging licensees if the current inspection was limited to an office inspection and no temporary job site inspection was completed.

Section 09.01 has been revised to include an additional paragraph about specific guidance on the responsibilities and reporting of non-radiological hazards to OSHA as per IMC 1007. "NRC/DOE-Office of Waste Management MOU," was added to describe arrangements to be followed for "orphan sources."

IP 87121 (Industrial Radiography Programs) is issued to assess a licensee's radiation safety program for industrial radiography authorized under 10 CFR Part 34 and to replace IP 87120.

IP 87122 (Irradiator Programs) is issued to assess a licensee's radiation safety program for an irradiator authorized under 10 CFR Part 36 and to replace IP 87112.

IP 87123 (Well Logging Programs) is issued to assess a licensee's radiation safety program for well logging activities authorized under 10 CFR Part 39 and to replace IP 87113.

IP 87124 (Fixed and Portable Gauge Programs) is issued to assess a licensee's radiation safety program for fixed and portable gauges and to replace IP 87114.

IP 87125 (Materials Processor/Manufacturer Programs) is issued to assess a licensee's radiation safety program for a materials processor/manufacturer program and to replace IP 87111.

IP 87126 (Industrial/Academic/Research Programs) is issued to assess a licensee's radiation safety program for uses authorized under an academic, research and development, and industrial license of limited scope, or authorized under a non-medical broad scope license.

IP 87127 (Radiopharmacy Programs) is issued to assess a licensee's radiation safety program for a radiopharmacy and to replace IP 87117.
