REMARKS:

IP 71707 (Plant Operations) has been revised to remove inspection requirements relating to the assessment of licensee management. It is not appropriate for inspectors to assess licensee management performance, rather inspectors should focus their attention on licensee activities and processes that are important to safety and reliability. NRC assessment of licensee organizational effectiveness results from NRC management's integration of the complete inspection record.

10 CFR 30.3 (Temporary Job Sites for Radiographic Operations)

10 CFR 34.2(b) & (c) (Definitions - Radiographer and Radiographer's Assistant)

The guidance addressed in these two documents is now addressed in sufficient detail in several NMSS documents, including the revised 10 CFR Part 34, to allow their deletion as separate documents. Maintaining the above documents would constitute redundancy and may create inconsistent guidance if the positions are not, in the future, revised concurrently with the revision of other applicable documents.
