DESCRIPTION:
The PERFORM CABLE PRESTRESS ANALYSIS command aborts if joint
coordinates are missing for any node of any IPCABLE element specified in
the INCLUDE ELEMENTS options of the DEFINE CABLE NETWORK commands. There
is no work around other than to make certain that joint coordinates are
specified for all IPCABLE elements in the model.

DESCRIPTION:
Stress results produced by the LIST CABLE ANALYSIS RESULTS and LIST
STRESS commands are incorrect for the IPCABLE element if there are any
element loads, including self weight from the ELEMENT PROPERTIES command,
defined for the element. This error can be verified by comparing the
element stress results at the starting or ending element node produced by
these commands to the stress at the starting or ending node computed by
the following relationship:
Equation "1" omitted
where,
F sub x = global X nodal force at starting or ending node,
F sub y = global Y nodal force at starting or ending node,
F sub z = global Z nodal force at starting or ending node,
AX = element cross section area.
The magnitude of the percent stress error at the starting or ending
node of the element can be estimated from the following relationship:
Equation "2" omitted.
where,
Symbol omitted sub err = percent stress error estimate,
f sub x = total global X IPCABLE element load,
f sub y = total global Y IPCABLE element load,
f sub z = total global Z IPCABLE element load,
Symbol omitted = element starting or ending nodal stress
from Eq. 1.
Rev. 2.2
As a work-around, the stress at the starting or ending node of an
IPCABLE element can be computed from Eq. 1.

Nonlinear analysis will abort if variable members are active in the
model. A work-around is to use additional joints and members to model
variable member properties.
