This letter is a notification of a potential defect on the Class 1E type
CVE-1 relay style numbers 1326D67A01 and 1326D67A02. This defect
consists of an incorrectly rated telephone relay used as V1 and V2.

The Class 1E type CVE-1 relays are equipped with two 110 volts rated
telephone relays. The typical operating voltage in the field exceeds the
telephone relays (V1 and V2) rating; therefore, the telephone relays may
overheat and fail. To correct this, the design has been changed to a 120
volts rated telephone relay.

A copy of this notification is being sent to all customers who our
records indicate have purchased these type of relays.

If you have any questions or require any additional information regarding
this announcement, please do not hesitate to contact the Quality Manager
at the Relay Division.
