Discussion:

PPL Corporation announced the following management changes: William F. Hecht, PPL Chairman and Chief Executive Officer since 1993, will retire before the end of 2006. James H. Miller, currently PPL President and chief operating officer since 2005, will become the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the company. Mr. Miller joined PPL in February 2001 as president of PPL generation. Before joining PPL, Mr. Miller was the executive vice president of USEC Inc.
