NRC Information Notice 2002-14: Ensuring a Capability to Evacuate
Individuals, Including Members of the Public, from the Owner-Controlled
Area dated April 8, 2002

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is issuing this information notice
to inform addressees of inspection findings concerning a licensee's
capability to evacuate individuals, including members of the public, from
the owner-controlled area in the event of an emergency.

Subject: Issuance of Regulatory Issue Summary 2002-05

NRC Regulatory Issue Summary 2002-05: NRC Approval of Boiling Water
Reactor Pressure Vessel Integrated Surveillance Program dated April 8,
2002

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission is issuing this regulatory issue
summary (RIS) to inform addressees of the NRC staff's approval of the BWR
reactor pressure vessel (RPV) integrated surveillance program (ISP)
submitted by the BWR Vessel and Internals Project (BWRVIP) and to specify
the conditions for BWR licensees' participation in the ISP. The BWRVIP is
an association of owners of BWRs that was formed in June 1994 to focus on
the resolution of BWR vessel and internals degradation issues.

Subject: ANNOUNCEMENT OF DUANE ARNOLD ENERGY CENTER (DAEC)
         MANAGEMENT CHANGE


Discussion:

On April 9, 2002, the licensee announced that effective April 15, 2002,
Mr. Mark A. Peifer from the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO),
will assume the position of Site Vice President. Mr. Peifer will replace
Mr. Gary Van Middlesworth. Mr. Van Middlesworth will be in a rotational
assignment assisting NMC Senior Vice President, Mr. John Paul Cowan and
Executive Vice President and Chief Nuclear Operator, Mr. Roy Anderson of
the Nuclear Management Company (NMC).

Subject: ANNOUNCEMENT OF DRESDEN STATION MANAGEMENT CHANGE

Discussion:

On April 8, 2002, the licensee announced that Preston Swafford, the
current Dresden Site Vice President, has been named Vice President,
Business Operations, Exelon Nuclear. Swafford will be responsible for the
Business Operations, Information Technology and Supply organizations. He
will report to Jack Skolds, President and Chief Nuclear Officer.

Bob Hovey has been selected as the Dresden Site Vice President replacing
Swafford. He joined Exelon last year as the Operations Support Vice
President for the Midwest Regional Operating Group. Hovey came to Exelon
from Florida Power & Light where he was the Turkey Point Site Vice
President. Previously, he was plant manager of the Hope Creek Generating
Station in New Jersey.

These changes will take place over the next few weeks.
