The Chairman will open the meeting with brief opening remarks, outline the topics to be discussed, and indicate several items of interest.
2) 8:40 - 10:15 A.M. ACNW Planning and Procedures (Open) (BJG/ALL)
The Committee will discuss the items noted below.
  2.1) Commitments from the ACNW 126th meeting
  2.2) Issues for the 127th NW meeting
  2.3) Topics for July 2001 and beyond
  2.4) EDO responses to Committee reports
  2.5) EDO's list of future meeting topics
  2.6) ACNW Calendar for 2001
  2.7) Civilian Radioactive Waste Management Systems, Management and Operating Contractor meeting topics
  2.8) Planned attendance at outside meetings

3) 10:30 - 11:30 A.M. Overview of Private Fuel Storage (Open) (RGW/HJL)
  3.1) 10:30 - 11:10 a.m. - The Committee will receive an overview information briefing on the status of the facility application for a license to store spent fuel in a facility to be constructed outside Tooele, Utah.
  3.2) 11:10 - 11:30 a.m. - Discussion between the ACNW members and the staff

4) 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. Update on the Pre-Closure Approach - NRC (Open) (ML/RKM)
  4.1) 1:00 - 1:40 p.m. - The Committee will receive an update and information briefing from NRC on their approach to pre-closure issues at the proposed high level waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada.
  4.2) 1:40 - 2:00 p.m. - Discussion between the ACNW Members and NRC staff.
5) 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. Public Outreach Activities (Open) (BJG/AS)
  5.1) 2:00 - 2:40 p.m. - The Committee will receive an information briefing from the NRC on their public outreach activities.
  5.2) 2:40 - 3:00 p.m. - Discussion between the ACNW Members and the NRC staff.
6) 3:00 - 4:00 P.M. Break and Preparation of Draft ACNW Reports
Cognizant ACNW members will prepare draft reports, as needed, for consideration by the full Committee.
7) 4:00 - 6:30 P.M. Preparation of ACNW Reports (Open)
The Committee will discuss proposed reports on the following topics:
  7.1) High Level Waste Chemistry (RGW/ACC)
  7.2) Public Outreach Activity (BJG/AS)
  7.3) Yucca Mountain Pre-Closure Approach (ML/RKM)

  10.4) Nuclear Waste Technical Review Board Meeting with NRC Commissioners (6/14/01) (LFD)
11) 11:45 - 12:00 Noon Election of ACNW Officers (Open) (BJG/JTL) The Committee will nominate and elect Members to the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman for the period July 1, 2001 through June 30, 2002.

12) 1:00 - 3:30 P.M. DOE's Science and Engineering Report (Open)(BJG/AS)
  12.1) 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. - The Committee will hear a presentation by DOE on its recently released Science and Engineering Report.
  12.2) 2:30 - 3:30 p.m. - Discussion between the ACNW Members and the DOE representatives.
13) 3:30 - 7:00 P.M. Preparation of ACNW Reports (Open) The Committee will discuss proposed reports on the following topics:

15) 8:35 - 9:30 A.M. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Cooperation on Multimedia Environmental Models (Open) (RGW/ACC)
  15.1) 8:35 - 9:10 a.m. - The Committee will receive an information briefing on the recently signed MOU for Interagency Cooperation in Research and Development of Multimedia Environmental Models for Human and Environmental Health Risk Assessment.
  15.2) 9:10 - 9:30 a.m. - Discussion between the ACNW Members and the staff.
16) 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. Preparation of ACNW Reports (Open)
The Committee will continue its discussion of proposed reports.
17) 11:00 - 12:30 P.M. Overview of Sequoyah Fuels (Open) (RGW/HJL)
  17.1) 11:00 - 11:45 a.m.: The Committee will receive an information briefing from the NRC staff on the current status of activities at the Sequoyah Fuels Corporation Facility.
  17.2) 11:45 - 12:30 p.m.: Discussion between the ACNW members and the NRC staff.

18) 1:30 - 2:00 P.M. Miscellaneous (Open) (BJG/JEL)
The Committee will discuss matters related to the conduct of Committee activities and matters and specific issues that were not completed during previous meetings, as time and availability of information permit.
