T1  Approaching Closeout of Generic Safety Issue 191, Assessment of Debris Accumulation on Pressurized-Water Reactor Sump Performance

The purpose of this session is to discuss the latest developments toward closeout of Generic Safety Issue (GSI) 191, "Assessment of Debris Accumulation on Pressurized Water Reactor Sump Performance," for operating and new reactors.  Topics will include industry testing on zone-of-influence and in-vessel effects, progress on alternative approaches for closing GSI-191, and the risks associated with debris blockage of the sump strainers or core flowpaths.
