The NMP working group has developed a communications plan to provide information to stakeholders in a timely manner, as the product is developed, to create positive stakeholder perception, and to engage negative perceptions, dispel rumors, and reduce uncertainty. The communications plan is intended to actively engage stakeholders at all levels by soliciting feedback, maintaining a positive relationship and to identify cultural transition issues for NRC, the States and other stakeholders. The communications plan is also designed to facilitate consideration of stakeholder comments during the development of Working Group products. 07/26/2000
