On August 24, RES released version 5.2.1 of the Symbolic Nuclear Analysis Package/RADionuclide Transport, Removal, and Dose Estimation (SNAP/RADTRAD) through the Radiation Protection Computer Code Analysis and Maintenance Program (RAMP). The NRC and its stakeholders use SNAP/RADTRAD to perform confirmatory dose consequence analyses for design basis accidents. The latest RADTRAD update enhances compatibility with draft Regulatory Guide DG‑1425 by incorporating new default gap fractions, expanded source‑term release fractions and timing parameters, and introducing a dedicated DG‑1425 configuration option within the SNAP/RADTRAD plugin.
