Grand Gulf Nuclear Station (EAF-RIV-2026-0016)
On April 30, 2026, the NRC issued a notice of violation associated with a white significance determination process finding to Entergy Operations Inc. (licensee) at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station. The white finding, an issue of low safety significance, involved the licensee’s failure to ensure design changes on the emergency diesel generator were subject to design control measures commensurate with those applied to the original design, contrary to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50, Appendix B, Criterion III, "Design Control."
South Texas Project Electric Generating Station (EAF-RIV-2026-0015)
On April 20, 2026, the NRC issued a notice of violation to South Texas Project Nuclear Operating Company (licensee) for a Severity Level (SL) III violation at South Texas Project Electric Generating Station. The violation involved the licensee’s failure to obtain a license amendment prior to implementing a change to the facility which resulted in a plant trip, contrary to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50.59, “Changes, Tests, and Experiments.”
Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Plant (EAF-RII-2025-0235)
On March 2, 2026, the NRC issued a notice of violation associated with a white significance determination process finding to Dominion Energy (licensee) at Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Plant. The white finding, an issue of low safety significance, involved the licensee’s failure to properly perform maintenance on the turbine-driven emergency feedwater pump as required by Technical Specification 6.8.1, “Procedures and Programs.”
