NRC TO TAKE PUBLIC COMMENT ON YANKEE ROWE TERMINATION PLAN

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will meet with Yankee Atomic Power Company officials and the public on Tuesday, January 13, to discuss the license termination plan for the Yankee Rowe nuclear power plant in Rowe, Mass.

The meeting, which is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m., will be held in the Mohawk Valley Regional High School Auditorium, in Buckland, Mass.

Yankee Atomic officials will describe the license termination plan and site release criteria for Yankee Rowe. Following the company's presentation, the NRC will explain the license termination process, and then take questions and comments from the audience.

Those wishing to sign up to speak may do so beginning at 6:30 p.m.
