TRAINING: No special training requirements have been identified for any documents issued with this change notice.
REMARKS: IP 71111.13 (Maintenance Risk Assessments and Emergent Work Control) has been revised to clarify inspection objectives and requirements and to provide detailed guidance to support the 10 CFR 50.65(a)(4) rule change. The flow chart has been revised and NUMARC 93-01 industry guidance references were added to each section of the procedure guidance. The procedure is structured with a risk-informed and performance based inspection technique to assess any licensee's risk assessment process.
In the near future, IIPB will sponsor a focused work group including regional participation, to conduct an overall review of all maintenance related inspection procedures and to recommend any necessary changes.
