REMARKS:
IMC 0350 (Staff Guidelines For Restart Approval) has been revised to incorporate comments received from the regional offices and NRR based on experiences gained during the implementation of this manual chapter.
IP 62703 (Maintenance Observation) has been revised to include requirements and guidance for resident inspectors to continue to monitor licensees' on-line maintenance practices and activities, particularly when potentially risk significant configurations are identified. This revision will be used by inspectors until the maintenance rule goes into effect in July 1996. At that time, a new inspection procedure will be issued which will detail the inspection requirements for monitoring licensee compliance with the rule including specific inspection guidance regarding on-line maintenance.
