Discussion:

This information is current as of 9:00 a.m. (EDT) on April 5, 2004. The plant is currently in Mode 1 at 100% percent power. The plant achieved full power at 00:19a.m. on April4.

Routine equipment testing will continue throughout the day. Based on inspector observations during power ascension activities, the operators exhibited good control over plant evolutions and took appropriate actions to address emergent issues.

As full power routine operations have been achieved, around-the-clock oversight, with NRC resident inspector and examiner support from Region III and other Regional Offices, has been terminated. The Davis-Besse Oversight Panel will continue to monitor plant activities utilizing enhanced inspection oversight coverage. For non-routine evolutions occurring after normal working hours, enhanced inspection oversight coverage will be expanded to monitor these activities.
