SKW-MBT Management, Inc., a vendor of safety-related grout, reported a
potential shelf-life issue for specific lots of Embeco 636 (CMTR) Grout
under certain conditions. The vendor's re- analysis of this product
indicates that segregation and frothing of ingredients in an unhardened
state may occur for lot number M4-73733P0, if mixed to a fluid
consistency. This situation may also apply to other lots made since
June 1999:

                    M4-44623R9
                    M4-57904V9
                    M4-72073P0
                    M4-73733P0

The vendor notified its affected customers, which include domestic
nuclear power plants at Davis-Besse, Peach Bottom, Limerick, Robinson,
Cook, and Beaver Valley.

The NRC will post ensuing reports on this subject on its Web site at
http://www.nrc.gov/NRC/PUBLIC/PART21/2001.
