Subject: MANAGEMENT CHANGE

Discussion:

Carolina Power & Light (CP&L) announced on May 4, 2000, that John Moyer
will become the Robinson Nuclear Plant Vice President and Dale Young will
become the Crystal River Nuclear Plant Vice President when the
combination of CP&L and Florida Progress Corporation is completed later
this year.  Dale Young has served as Robinson Plant Vice President since
1998, and is currently serving as CP&L lead on the nuclear transition
team planning the integration of the Florida Power Crystal River Plant
into the CP&L Nuclear Generation Group.  John Moyer is currently the
Robinson Director of Site Operations.
