Koshy NEW ISSUE. The Ginna licensee reports that a safety-related Westinghouse DB-25 breaker mechanism in stock did not pass degradation checks. Misaligned drilled holes in the mechanism caused misalignment of the pin above the toggle lever. Also, the right rear quarter section of the tripper pan is bent upward, resulting in unsatisfactory tripper bar gaps. NRC contact with the manufacturer confirmed that the assembly would continue to operate if the mechanism is positioned geometrically compatible with the other pieces because the pin out of level is not one of the critical characteristics for the operation. The bent trip pan could be the result of handling but the breaker performed properly with these deficiencies when tested as a part of incoming inspection. _
