Information Notice 99-26, "SAFETY AND ECONOMIC CONSEQUENCES OF MISLEADING
MARKETING INFORMATION," was issued on August 24, 1999.

This notice was issued to all distributors and manufacturers of generally
licensed products to alert them to possible threats to public safety
caused by misleading marketing information and lack of end-user
understanding of regulatory requirements.  Customers should be provided
information so that they are fully aware of their responsibilities for
the use, transfer, and disposal of radioactive products.
