Subject: SELECTION OF NEW DIRECTOR OF PERFORMANCE ASSURANCE

Discussion:

On Thursday, June 24, 1999, the licensee announced that Mr. Joseph E.
Pollock had been selected as the new Director of Performance Assurance
(Quality Assurance). Mr. Pollock was previously at PSE&G's Salem and Hope
Creek Stations. Mr. Pollock will report on July 19, 1999.

Paul Barrett who was the previous Director of Performance Assurance will
take the lead in identifying and implementing improvements in the
independent review committee (Nuclear Safety and Design Review
Committee).
