Project Overview

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is currently engaged in preapplication activities with X Energy, LLC. (X-energy), starting in November 2023. X-energy is a Rockville, MD company designing the X-Energy Next-Generation Integrated Transportable High-Temperature (XENITHTM) Microreactor Plant – Point Design, which is a high temperature gas cooled reactor. The XENITHTM design is between 3 to 10 MWe.
