Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (the licensee) requested a pre-application meeting to discuss a proposed license amendment request (LAR) for Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Plant. Specifically, the proposed LAR would modify technical specification (TS) 3.1.4 to operate at less than 60% power after 8 hours at full operation with a dropped Control Element Assembly (CEA) within the core and to restore the CEA within 7 days. The licensee will present its submittal plans, the LAR’s connection to other planned LARs and plant modifications, and details on the Framatome analysis supporting the proposed LAR.
