Purpose
The purpose of this meeting is for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to conduct an uncontested (i.e., mandatory) hearing on a construction permit application from Long Mott Energy, LLC (LME) for construction of Long Mott Generating Station (LMGS), a four reactor facility to be built in Calhoun County, Texas. The uncontested hearing will convene at 5:30 p.m. Central Time (CT) and begin with a presentation by the NRC staff that will explain the review process and provide a brief overview of the application, followed by a comment period of up to 3 hours. During the comment period, the public will be provided an opportunity to speak on the record. Each member of the public will be allowed to speak for no more than five minutes at a time to ensure that all stakeholders who wish to provide oral comments or ask questions will have the opportunity to do so.
