Diane Cameron

Diane Cameron is the Head of the Nuclear Technology Development and Economics Division at OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. In her role at the NEA, she helps provide Member Countries with authoritative studies in support of their energy policy decision-making. Diane manages a team of experts in the fields of nuclear technology, energy economics, resources and interactions with civil society. She provides strategic input to the preparation and execution of a rich programme of work in the areas assigned to the Division.

From 2014 to 2021, Diane was Director of the Nuclear Energy Division with the Government of Canada. As Director, she headed up the division responsible for leading and coordinating Canadian public policy on nuclear energy.   She joined the Government of Canada in 2007 to work on environment, energy, and trade policy, including international relations and negotiations. Diane served as Chair of the Canada's Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Roadmap and Action Plan. Prior to her tenure with the Government of Canada, she worked in management consulting and engineering in the private sector specializing in global value chains and international logistics.
