Chris Dixon

Global First Power (GFP) is a joint venture between Ultra Safe Nuclear Company (USNC) and Ontario Power Generation (OPG).  GFP is currently working to construct and operate an SMR - a Micro Modular Reactorr (MMRr) - at Chalk River Laboratories in Ontario; a site owned by Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL) and managed by Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL). This project will serve as a model for future nuclear energy projects in remote communities and heavy industry.

Chris brings over 29 years of nuclear operations leadership experience as a licensed Shift Manager at the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station and Assistant Operations Manager for the Pickering and Darlington Nuclear Generating Stations.  A diverse and inclusive teamwork focused leader, Chris is dedicated to integration of new technological innovations that will enable small modular reactors to be an inherently safe, carbon-free and cost-effective community electrical generation technology, supporting positive climate change action.
