The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is hosting an information exchange with representatives of Federal government and the energy industry to discuss considerations related to licensing nuclear facilities at brownfield and retired fossil fuel sites. The purpose of this public meeting is to share and discuss information that may support the NRC's response to Congressional direction in Section 206 of the ADVANCE Act of 2024, "Regulatory issues for nuclear facilities at brownfield sites." Topics and panelists will updated in the agenda as they are finalized.
