Meeting agenda is being finalized. NRC staff will have brief presentations on the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and on Agreement State current regulation of fusion related research and development. The staff would like to solicit presentations from stakeholders on the following topics:
Stakeholder thoughts on regulatory gaps or legislative gaps
• Areas such as: Type, quantity, form of material; EP; Security; Disposal; Environmental
• Byproduct material definition
• Stakeholder thoughts on ‘common defense and security’
• Any items need to be addressed through legislation?
Licensing considerations for small-scale vs large-scale facilities
