Purpose
The purpose of this partially closed meeting, between Entergy Operations, Inc. (Entergy) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff, is to discuss a planned license amendment request (LAR) regarding the effect of a digital modification to the core protection calculator and control element assembly calculator systems at Waterford Steam Electric Station, Unit 3. Entergy will discuss its draft application, the effect of the planned modification on the plant's technical specifications, failure mode effect analysis, and vendor oversight program. The NRC will discuss its observations of the draft application. This is the fifth presubmittal meeting for this planned LAR.
