OFFSITE NOTIFICATION DUE TO DROWNING AT LAKE ANNA
"At 1545 hours on 05/27/2013, the North Anna Control Room was notified by local authorities that a potential drowning had taken place at the number 3 Dike in Lake Anna. This incident has been reported to the FERC [Federal Energy Regulatory Commission] Regional Engineer under FERC requirements. Therefore, this is reportable to the NRC under 10CFR50.72(b)(2)(xi). In addition, this incident has received significant media interest. The identity of the victim is not known at this time."
The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector and the Louisa County Administrator.
