EMERGENCY RESPONSE DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM TEMPORARILY INOPERABLE
"On 11/09/2005 at 18:35 hours, it was identified that St Lucie Units 1 & 2 had lost both of the computer trains associated with Emergency Response Data Acquisition and Display System (ERDADS). This is reportable in accordance with 10 CFR 50.72(b)(3)(xiii) as a major loss of emergency assessment capability. Other means to monitor critical data and communicate this data to government agencies exist in each unit. The system was returned to an operable status at 19:45 hrs."
The cause of the computer problem was software related. The licensee notified the NRC Resident Inspector.
