TWO VIALS WITH RADIOACTIVE MARKERS FOUND IN NATIONAL PARK, NO RADIOACTIVITY DETECTED
Two vials, apparently liquid scintillation counter vials, with radioactive markings, were found in the Gateway National Seashore Park in Queens, New York City. Radioactivity of the vials was background when checked with survey instruments, they will be checked with scintillation counter tonight, 7/16/00, for further determination of any radioactive materials. The vials did not appear to have been in the water.
