Nuclear Regulatory Commission officials in Lisle, Illinois, have announced the assignment of George Wilson as an agency resident inspector at the LaSalle Nuclear Power Plant in Marseilles, Illinois. Wilson joined the NRC in October 1999 as a reactor engineer. He later worked as an operating licensing examiner in the NRC's Region III office before beginning his current duties at LaSalle on January 29. Prior to joining the agency, he served eight-and-a-half years in the U.S. Navy and worked for the Tennessee Valley Authority at the Watts Bar Nuclear Power Plant as an instrument maintenance manager and then as a senior reactor operator and shift technical advisor. Wilson earned a bachelor's degree in engineering technology and a master's degree in business administration from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri. Wilson, his wife, and their three children live in Shorewood. Wilson joins NRC Senior Resident Inspector Eric Duncan at LaSalle. They can be reached at the LaSalle plant at (815) 357-8611. |
