ACRS SUBCOMMITTEE ON THERMAL-HYDRAULIC PHENOMENA TO MEET IN ROCKVILLE, MARYLAND, ON NOVEMBER 13-14
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards (ACRS) has scheduled a meeting of its subcommittee on thermal-hydraulic phenomena on November 13-14 in Rockville, Maryland.
Most of the meeting on November 13, which will be held in Room T-2B3 of the agency's Two White Flint North building, at 11545 Rockville Pike, will be closed to the public to discuss proprietary information pertinent to General Electric (GE) Nuclear Energy. The meeting will be open to the public on November 14. It will begin at 8:30 a.m. each day.
During the meeting, the subcommittee will begin review of GE Nuclear Energy's "TRACG" thermal-hydraulic code. It also will continue its review of the NRC's Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research's thermal hydraulic research program as it relates to the ACRS' annual report to the Commission on the agency's safety research. In addition, the subcommittee will hear presentations by and hold discussions with representatives of GE Nuclear Energy, the agency staff and other interested parties.
