W26 Regulatory Challenges in New Reactor Technical Reviews
The NRC is currently reviewing multiple applications for design certifications and combined licenses in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 52, “Licenses, Certifications, and Approvals for Nuclear Power Plants.” These applications take advantage of the current fleet’s operating experience, as well as technological advances in many areas. As a result of these applications, the NRC is addressing new, and sometimes significant, regulatory challenges.
