Mark Foy

Mark Foy is the regulatory head of the United Kingdom’s Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) and executive member of the ONR Board. During the last 18 years, Mr. Foy has successfully led ONR’s regulatory activities across various sectors of the UKs nuclear industry, including civil reactor new build, NPP operations, spent fuel and radioactive waste management and defense.  He has over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of the nuclear life-cycle, from design and commissioning through to operation and decommissioning.  He also has extensive international experience, having undertaken various senior roles within the international regulatory community.  Mark has a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Mechanical Engineering, and is a Chartered Fellow of the UKs Nuclear Institute.
