Brad Sawatzke
Brad Sawatzke was appointed CEO of Energy Northwest in April 2018. He previously served as Chief Operating Officer Chief Nuclear Officer, beginning in December 2014, with responsibility for all Energy Northwest generating units. He joined EN as vice president of Nuclear Generation/Chief Nuclear Officer in December 2010./Prior to joining Energy Northwest, he served as Director of Site Operations at the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant with Xcel Energy. Brad worked for NSP/NMC/Xcel Energy for nearly 29 years. The majority of that time was spent at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant where he held positions in Operations and Training prior to holding the Performance Assessment Manager, Maintenance Manager and Plant Manager positions.
Brad holds a Bachelor of Science and Applied Physics from Winona State University and is a graduate of the Harvard Advanced Management Program. He has also held a reactor operator and senior reactor operator license at the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, a boiling water reactor.
Brad also serves on the INPO board of directors and accrediting board, Association of Washington Business executive committee, Nuclear Energy Institute board of directors and the TRIDEC executive committee.
