Kimberly Webber

Dr. Kimberly Webber is an engineering executive with 24 years of experience working for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission with over 18 years of safety analysis and licensing experience involving high-level waste disposal, spent fuel storage and transportation as well as operating and new reactors. She is currently the Director of the Division of Systems Analysis in the NRC’s Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research. In that position, she is responsible for directing NRC’s research programs associated with fuel performance and source term analyses, reactor systems analyses, accident consequence analysis, and radiation protection and health physics. She manages an engineering staff of over 60 employees who develop and maintain broad technical expertise, evaluate experimental data, and develop numerical simulation analyses tools needed to provide the NRC with the ability to make reliable and technically sound regulatory decisions.
