Bruce Hallbert
Bruce Hallbert leads the Light Water Reactor Sustainability Program, a DOE-sponsored multi-laboratory, multi-disciplinary program that conducts collaborative research with stakeholders of the commercial nuclear power industry. Its goal is to sustain U.S. nuclear power generation assets.
Prior to leading the LWRS program, Bruce led a number of programs for the DOE in the areas of advanced sensors, instrumentation, controls, and human machine interface technologies for nuclear energy systems. He also led safety and probabilistic risk assessment programs for a variety of federal and private national and international organizations. He previously served as the Division Director of Nuclear Safety and Regulatory Research and as a Department Manager of Human-Systems Research.
