Shaun Anderson
Shaun Anderson is the Managing Director and Co-founder for the U.S. NRC’s Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation’s EMBARK Venture Studio. His responsibility includes leading teams to remove barriers to innovation and launching initiatives that improve the way the Reactor Safety Program works. Prior to creating EMBARK, Shaun was the Chief of the Containment and Plant Systems Branch in the Division of Safety Systems (DSS). He has also led various leadership roles within the NRC from Inspection, Licensing, and Materials programs. He joined the NRC in 2004 as a co-op student engineer and is a 2008 graduate of the NRC's Nuclear Safety Professional Development Program. He holds Bachelors’ degrees in Computational Mathematics from Bowie State University and Nuclear Engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.
